Tweedlecheney and Tweedlerove

I was just sitting here, watching The Daily Show, and realised how much Dick Cheney and Karl Rove reminded me of a certain couple of characters...

I've been playing Mr Squiggle again!

It's been way too long since I've played 'Mr Squiggle'! My friends and I used to play it at school, it was a great way to fill in time when we were bored in class.

The reason for my squiggling is a challenge on RedBubble that's been started by the 'Make up Your Mind' group. The challenge is here if you want to check it out. The rules are simple, everyone starts with the same squiggle, then lets their imagination run away with them! And the real catch is... you can only use make up for your creation!

So because RedBubble is having a little *ahem* nap right now, I will share my pictures of my squiggly process on here!

Here is a pic of my 'palette' of make up. This was actually given to me as a gift and I've never even used it, so I'm glad to finally put it to good use!

Here is the original squiggle that we were given as a starting point:

Here's my first outline sketch (done with a lip liner pencil thingy)

Then coloured in with a bit of eye shadow, and the lollipop is lip gloss type stuff:

Ta-Da! Very relaxing, and fun to play with the eye shadow as a colouring in medium :)

Here it is with the original squiggles highlighted!

Darth Vader is a ninja, and Luke Skywalker has a girlie voice

Oh dear... I was just introduced to xtranormal.com on my blog travels by the lovely folk at Overthinking It.

Because if there's one thing I don't have enough of in my life, it's distracting things on the internet! I saw this and thought "I don't need to clean out the shed, I need to recreate an obvious movie scene!"

So here it is, all 36 seconds of it:

Kanye Kanye Kanye...

Is Kanye West for real?

I heard one of his songs on the radio this morning (not sure which one, the lyrics were something like "ZOMG I'm the best thing EVAR!!" repeated over and over, so really it could have been any of his songs...) and it got me thinking about whether he's singing those lyrics genuinely, or if there's some level of self awareness going on there.

Does he say "You should be honoured by my lateness" as some kind of commentary on the increasingly selfish attitude of some members of society, or is he just straight out partaking in that sort of thing himself?

Is it all just a massive exaggeration to stir up a reaction from people? I'd like to think he goes home at night and laughs about how ridiculous it is that people really love the music of some guy who does nothing but sing about how good he is while putting his voice through Auto-Tune*.

The thing is, I don't have time to actually research this and figure out a plausible answer, so if anyone wanders by this post can they please let me know (in say... 100 words or less?)

Cheers ;)

* Auto-Tune? Aren't they the company that advertise their car mending services with that catchy jingle sung by an Elton John robot?
